How to find your purpose as a teenager

November 6, 2023

Our template for purpose discovery is drawn from Luke 2:52

“And the child grew and increased in wisdom, in stature, in favour with God and favour with people”

  1. Increasing in Wisdom
  2. Increasing in Stature
  3. Increasing in Favour with God
  4. Increasing in Favor of people

1: Wisdom is not a religious term, it involves acquiring knowledge, understanding and applying that knowledge appropriately in a manner that pleases God, blesses humanity and improves goodness around your environment.

2: Stature refers to physical growth, which involves a balanced diet, work & bodily exercise and adequate rest.

3: Increasing in favour with God begins with a healthy relationship with The Lord. It means staying away from sinfulness, by constant righteous living, this includes both holiness and ethical standards in school, at work or home.

4: Increasing in favour with people: This has a lot to do with our social responsibility, and social duties that make your life a blessing to other people, your relationship with people is a reflection of your relationship with God.

Now, as you grow in these four areas, you will discover that your life’s purpose will be balanced upon the wisdom of God, your service to humanity and your identity and relationship with God, yourself, people and your environment.
